Birding Nayarit: San Blas and La Noria
(Page under construction)
Located in the central-western part of Mexico, Nayarit is an amazing place for birding. Due to its location and diverse orography, it's easy to spot over 100 species in a single day. In a relatively small area and short time, we can explore a variety of habitats, including a beautiful mangrove area with large lagoons, lowland forests, a mix of grasslands and secondary forests, islands and an altitudinal gradient. This gradient ranges from the beach, where you might see shorebirds and seabirds, to oak and pine forests, which are home to several endemic bird species that live only in the high altitudes of the pine forest.
